Leaky Lamp I on the move: a stop in Copenhagen 2025

Our Leaky Lamp I was part of the international exhibition 15 Minutes of Fame – OTHER CIRCLE 2025, curated by Adorno Design and held in Copenhagen from June 18 to 20. The show brought together contemporary design pieces that go beyond function — works that tell stories, challenge conventions, and leave an emotional imprint on the viewer.

Presented in a carefully curated setting, Leaky Lamp Istood alongside creations by both emerging and established designers from around the world, in a collective that celebrated the unexpected, the ephemeral, and those fleeting moments that still manage to shine brightly. As the title suggests, sometimes fifteen minutes of fame are enough to say (almost) everything.

For us, this participation marked another chapter in the journey of the Leaky Lamps, which continue to travel, cross borders, and spark curiosity wherever they appear. They rarely go unnoticed — perhaps because of their liquid form, their quiet gesture, or their unconventional take on light — but certainly for their ability to connect with curious eyes.

Leaky Lamp I once again revealed itself as a delicate, restless piece with a clear desire to keep moving forward.

Studio Ejarque to present “Guirra” at ICFF New York 2025

Following a successful debut at Salone Satellite, the studio continues its international trajectory with a new series of wool-based mirror-tapestries.

New York, May 2025 — After its widely praised debut at Milan Design Week’s Salone Satellite, Studio Ejarque announces its upcoming participation in ICFF New York, taking place May 18–20 at the Javits Center. The studio will present its new collection, Guirra, a series of handcrafted mirror-tapestries made using locally sourced wool from the indigenous Guirra sheep of the Valencian region.

Guirra marks a new chapter in the studio’s exploration of material identity and regional craftsmanship. The collection takes its name from the rare Guirra sheep breed, whose distinctive wool—noted for its volume, warmth, and reddish hue—is deeply rooted in the Mediterranean landscape yet largely underutilized today. Studio Ejarque celebrates this forgotten material through a contemporary lens, transforming it into tactile, sculptural objects that speak to both heritage and innovation.

The collection’s central pieces are mirror-tapestries that blend reflective surfaces with soft, organic fiber compositions. Drawing from traditional rug-making processes, Studio Ejarque manipulates the Guirra wool to explore new visual and emotional territories—resulting in objects that are as introspective as they are decorative.

Guirra is not just a material; it’s a narrative about place, presence, and the potential of what we’ve overlooked.

ICFF New York marks the next step in a defining period for Studio Ejarque, following recent presentations at Salone Satellite Milan, Stockholm Furniture Fair, and Ambiente Frankfurt.

Studio Ejarque at Salone Satellite – Milan Design Week 2025

Milano, April 2025 Studio Ejarque recently returned from Salone Satellite, part of the wider Salone del Mobile di Milano, where it presented the Leaky Collection. As one of the most prestigious and widely attended design events in the world, the Salone del Mobile—and Salone Satellite in particular—offered a unique platform for emerging voices in design.

For Studio Ejarque, the opportunity to participate in Salone Satellite was a significant milestone. The studio presented its latest research into materials and poetic form through a series of sculptural lighting pieces and a new addition: a stool finished with the same graphite-based biomaterial that has become a defining feature of the collection. The piece extends the tactile and conceptual language of the collection into the realm of furniture.

The Leaky Collection explores impermanence, process, and vulnerability through experimental uses of an innovative biomaterial developed by Pablo Ejarque-González in 2024. The material’s unusual texture and expressive surface qualities prompted countless conversations around its composition and potential applications.

The lighting pieces—first introduced in Stockholm and later exhibited in Frankfurt—once again became the focal point of the booth. Their organic forms and ephemeral surfaces sparked curiosity and reflection, drawing a steady stream of visitors throughout the week.

“From design editors to fellow exhibitors, people connected with the vulnerability and honesty of the work. It was incredibly encouraging,” said Ejarque.

Having now exhibited at three major European design fairs in just a few months—Stockholm Furniture Fair, Ambiente Frankfurt, and now Milan—Studio Ejarque continues to solidify its international presence and creative voice. The next stop: ICFF New York.

Fire, Form, and Mirrors: Studio Ejarque at Frankfurt’s Talents Platform

Frankfurt, February 2025 — Following its European debut in Stockholm, Studio Ejarque continued its journey through the continent’s leading design fairs with a strong presence at Ambiente Frankfurt 2025. As part of Talents, the fair’s curated platform for emerging designers, the studio joined a vibrant and forward-thinking group.

Building on the momentum from Greenhouse at Stockholm Furniture Fair, Studio Ejarque once again presented its debut collection, El Fuego—a poetic exploration of transformation and materiality, centered on fire as a symbol. But for Frankfurt, the collection evolved.

Alongside the original sculptural lighting pieces, which had drawn wide attention in Sweden, the studio unveiled new additions: a series of mirrors integrating the graphite-based bioplastic and a standout furniture piece—a hand-upholstered pouf crafted entirely in the same material, cured to resemble leather.

The graphite bioplastic, developed by Pablo Ejarque-González in 2024, continued to spark curiosity. Visitors were intrigued not only by its experimental texture and visual impact, but also by the sustainable processes behind it. The Leaky Lamps, with their flowing forms and semi-translucent surfaces, were again a highlight—acting as both visual anchor and conceptual heart of the studio’s presentation.

Frankfurt proved to be a key platform for dialogue. With many design professionals, journalists, and trend forecasters passing through the fair, Ambiente provided Studio Ejarque with valuable exposure to the European design landscape

As one of Europe’s most influential design events, Ambiente confirmed the studio’s place in the growing conversation around material experimentation and emotional design. And while El Fuego made its mark in both Stockholm and Frankfurt, it continues to evolve—both through new pieces and new interpretations.

Studio Ejarque’s First Steps in Europe: A Positive Debut at Stockholm Furniture Fair 2025

Stockholm, February 2025 —Studio Ejarque has officially started its European journey with a debut at Greenhouse, during Stockholm Furniture Fair 2025. This marked the studio’s first appearance at a major international design fair in Europe—and the response was both encouraging and energizing.

The presentation featured El Fuego, the studio’s first collection, which explores fire as a symbol of transformation and creative force. The pieces combined sculptural forms with experimental materials, including a graphite-based bioplastic developed by Pablo Ejarque-González in 2024. Visitors responded positively to the collection’s balance of craftsmanship, innovation, and narrative depth.

Taking part in Greenhouse—Stockholm’s renowned platform for emerging designers—offered an ideal setting to connect with an engaged audience of design professionals, media, and fellow creatives. “It was an intimate but high-level context,” said Ejarque. “A great place to start conversations and receive meaningful feedback.”

This showing in Stockholm follows several years of experience in the commercial design world and previous international exhibitions in the U.S., including ICFF New York and Design X Rhode Island. It also marks the beginning of a larger European tour for Studio Ejarque.

Next up: Ambiente Frankfurt, where the studio will continue sharing its vision of expressive, material-driven design.
