Back Home: Studio Ejarque lands at FORMA Madrid with Leaky Collection

     Studio Ejarque took part in the first edition of FORMA Design Fair, held in Madrid from March 5 to 8 as part of Madrid Design Festival—an experience that has become a key moment in the studio’s trajectory.

     As previously announced, the fair marked the first presentation of Leaky Collection in Spain, following its international tour throughout 2025 across major fairs in Milan, Frankfurt, Stockholm and New York. Its arrival in Madrid did not go unnoticed, as the collection sparked strong interest among visitors and professionals alike, generating conversation around its distinctive material and conceptual approach.

     FORMA provided an especially stimulating context. As a pioneering fair in Spain dedicated to collectible design, it brought together a highly curated selection of proposals, establishing itself from its very first edition as a relevant platform within Madrid Design Festival.

     For the studio, this participation also carried a personal dimension. It was the first time Studio Ejarque exhibited at home—an opportunity to share directly its processes, concerns, and above all its work with a local audience. Visitors were able not only to experience the pieces, but also to engage with their most tangible dimension: touching the graphite bioplastic, observing how light interacts with its surfaces, and discovering the multiple facets and nuances that define the collection.

     FORMA also became a space for encounter. Meeting collaborators and professionals in person, as well as building new connections within the Spanish design community, was a fundamental part of the experience—a community the studio feels deeply connected to, even as it operates internationally.

     The high attendance and the overall quality of the exhibited works confirmed the success of this first edition. For Studio Ejarque, participating in FORMA was not only about bringing Leaky Collection home, but also about opening new dialogues with the local context and continuing to expand its practice from there.
